Supermarket swaps

This afternoon to Sainsbury's, and afterwards my first Livejournal entry, sparked by seeing a packet of chocolate cake abandoned on the paté shelf. I'm fascinated by the way people will swap something already in their trolley for a different item they have just seen, I assume as a substitute. Swapping frozen peas for fresh is understandable in a sense, but I still remember the day I saw a packet of chocolate ecairs abandoned on the Tampax shelf.
